In the tradition of yogic philosophy, the mind controls the body

Therefore it is important to meditate every day.

After you have meditated for five minutes (or longer), perform the physical actions to help the mind (through the body) release energy blocks that stand in the way of complete well-being. In these exercises you will have the opportunity to:

• Be conscious to the way that you move your body.

FULL BODY STRETCH - Bring your hands to the back wall as in Mountain pose. Now slowly straighten your legs as far as you can go. You should feel the stretch everywhere from the top of your head all the way down to your toes. Stay on your palms, keeping your back flat and your chest up. Breathe into the stretch. Stay here and breathe.

HEAD STRETCH - Bring your arms in front to your sides (palms together) and place your fingertips on the wall (for balance). Bring your elbows to your sides, then straighten your forearms. Allow your head to hang loosely (your scalp should be in a state of ease). Breathe into the stretch, then stay in this position while breathing slowly. Next, breathe in and lift your head with your chin up. Take several slow, deep breaths.
